First Line:
Universal Basic Income (UBI) has a history of support in the United States dating back to Thomas Paine’s 1797 pamphlet Agrarian Justice, and perhaps most notably, in 1967, Martin Luther King Jr. advocated an unconditional stipend paid to all American citizens as a way of eliminating poverty and its accompanying social problems.

What it's really about:
A profound reform that belongs in the same league as the abolition of slavery or the introduction of universal suffrage!

Here's the description from Red Lion Press:
In this compelling treatise published by Red Lion Press, H. W. Honeycutt makes an argument for Universal Basic Income in the United States from a disability rights perspective.
